Utah Peace Officer Standards and Training Certification of Non-United States Citizens
The Utah Peace Officer Standards and Training (“POST”) is committed to following all federal and state laws governing the certification of peace officer applicants, for both U.S. citizens and non-citizens alike.
Senate Bill 102 and Senate Bill 1004, Peace Officer Training Qualifications Amendments, 2021, amended Utah Code Ann. § 53-6-203 to allow an individual to be admitted and certified as a peace officer.
