Law Enforcement Interaction with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Training
Utah Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) has identified some valuable training to assist Law Enforcement officers as they respond to various challenges within Utah’s communities. Utah POST attempts to identify local and national trends to share with the officers it serves. The training video outlines some of the communication challenges that may arise as officers respond to calls for service involving people with disabilities.

This particular training video introduces communication obstacles as officers interact with those who use sign language as their primary form of communication.
