Radar Basic Certification/Re-Certification
Description:
This course is a one-day course for officers who need to recertify to operate Radar. This course offers training on stationary, moving, and other effects associated with radar. It also offers training in operation of lidar. This training is offered when the officer’s radar certification has lapsed more than one year.
- If the officer’s certification has not lapsed more than one year they can recertify online. More information can be found here.
- If the officer has never been certified to operate radar they should register for a basic radar course by sending a message to support@utahpost.org.
Pre-Requisites: Previously certified to operate radar
Restrictions: Must be a law enforcement officer
Student Notes:
Students must bring a trigonometric function calculator.
Class limited to 20 students.
To view available courses, log into your Acadis account and browse training. To register, candidates should have their Agency Administrator or Training Coordinator register them through the POST Acadis Portal.

Note: Many POST in-service classes are scheduled according to demand. If you would like to attend a class, but no dates are scheduled, please send us a message at: support@utahpost.org. We may be able to register you in one of our regularly scheduled cadet classes.
