CYBER LIAISON OFFICER COURSE
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Today’s law enforcement must be equipped to identify and defend against the growing threat of cybercrime. First responders are in a unique position in that their effective identification of a potential cybercrime can impact subsequent investigation and court testimony. This course is not designed to teach students how to solve a cybercrime, rather, it is meant to develop an awareness of the first responder’s role in addressing cybercrime. As part of this course, students will learn how to go through the process of responding to a call with a basic understanding of how cybercrime is committed, identifying persons to interview, identifying and gathering evidence to continue the investigation.
