Utah Tech University Police Academy
Academy Description
Utah Tech University Peace Officer Standards and Training Academy (POST Academy) offers Special Function Officer (SFO, known as Cat 1) and Law Enforcement Officer (LEO, known as Cat 2) training. The SFO training is approximately 10 weeks in length and the LEO training is approximately 18 weeks in length. In order for cadets to participate in the LEO training, cadets MUST first complete the SFO. The Instructors include, local Law Enforcement Officers, Attorney’s, and Educators.
Training is held Monday through Friday, from 1800 to 2200 (6:00 pm-10:00 pm). There is a very strict attendance policy.
